Thanksgiving in Park City!

We decided to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with Ethan's family this year and it was a gas. We were fortunate enough (thanks to Justin) to stay in a cabin/house on the hillside of Park City for a few days. This house was huge with enough rooms to fit the entire family. It was so great to all stay in the same house together and to see each other in our most prettiest hours :)

The women traditionally spent hours in the kitchen making scrumptious dishes and over the top recipes and the men spent a lot of time at the pool table together. Pappa Hyde showed the young bucks who's boss every time. It was fun to watch the boys play and it was really funny when Ethan and I challenged one another. Kids were running a muck, mothers were trying to stay caught up with the messes and dishes, dads were taking naps and eating our food, and all of us were enjoying one anothers company. I love how it was relaxing and laid back.

Here are some pictures of what the cabin looked like and what we did while we were there:

We went and walked around main street for a few hours. They had all sorts of fun stores here that we really enjoyed. Ethan was in heaven with this store.
HE LOVES HIS HOT SAUCE.

My personal favorite was the fur store. It's kind of funny that I love animals so much and yet I love seeing them mounted and dead too. That's a little odd.
(The other sad/funny part about this store is that there were protesters standing across the street yelling things like, "No more fur! No more fur!" They were very much against fur coats and materials that came from animals and were bellowing all afternoon. We laughed because we walked into this store right after we got finished talking to them on the street. HA)

Of course we had to check out the authentic cowboy boot store!
They had some crazy and insane boots there--Ooooo-weeeeee.
(Snake, elephant, hippo, alligator, armadillo etc.) Not to mention they were $10,000+

Who eats like this?
Seriously, we are so blessed.

This was probably my favorite part of the whole weekend. The entire family sat gathered together with a delicious feast at our fingertips. The entire 10ft. long table was covered with food (plus we had pies and salads in the kitchen still) which made us all realize how truly blessed and spoiled we are. All of our hearts became thankful and we all possessed an attitude of gratitude at this point in time. It's like we all came to the realization of how much we all have--most importantly, that we have each other.

We went around the table sharing what we were most thankful for at that time. An abundance of love filled the room, tears were shed, and the spirit was with all of us as we shared our love toward one another and our individual families. I was very touched. It made me realize, once again, what a wonderful blessing it is to be part of the Hyde family. My love for each of them increases each time we get together and I am so grateful for the love they show me in return. I'm so glad I married Ethan so I could get to know such amazing people.

All in all, we ate till we were bloated, we cleaned till it was spotless, we laughed till our tummies hurt, and we enjoyed each other as much as the rabbit loves his Trix. This was one of the funnest outings I've had so far with the Hyde family :) We had a blast!

"There's so much to be thankful for."
